Getting to know you...
So you have decided to call "Now Your Cooking". What happens next?
Simple. We get to know each other. You ask questions. We listen and then we answer all we can.
We can guess some of the questions you may ask (what does it cost, is there a contract (no), can I have a friend present (yes), what will I learn, how long is a lesson....etc...
But we can not guess ALL of the questions YOU may ask. So...please ask away.
We will then, based on your questions, ask some of our own. Our questions are designed to ensure that the time we spend with you going forward, are the most rewarding for you.
Questions like...
What is your primary area of interest? Grilling, shopping for food, how to organize your kitchen, food safety? Cooking seafood, meat, and veggies? Meal planning, deserts, storing food?
Is there a certain dish you would like to learn how to prepare? Holiday planning and cooking? Group brunches? Kids meals?
Basically, what do you want to get out of your time spent with "Now Your Cooking"?
We are committed to giving you what you want and need, and are committed to ensuring you get real value for the time and money you spend with us.
Once we both agree on a lesson plan, yes, you help to define the lesson; we set a date and a time and agree on the cost.
Costs differ. How to cook a few different breakfasts and how to plan and cook a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 require not only a vast difference in time, but also a great difference when it comes to imparting skill and planning.
I will tell you this. No session is time dependent for us. We take the time to ensure that YOU can do just what we teach you. If creating the best BLT you ever had takes one hour or 10, the cost of the session remains the same. No if, ands, or buts! We are committed to ensuring that YOU know how to produce what we have come to teach you. And we are confident that our teaching method works.
We prefer that your utensils be used during the entire process. You are going to be making these dishes well into the future; you should use those items that you will be using going forward. We can however, bring along what ever you may not currently have, as well as recommend purchases. Be assured we will never try to sell you ANYTHING. We do not sell cooking supplies. That is not what we do.
You are welcome to videotape each session, take notes, and make recordings. All that we require is that you agree not to sell or distribute any recording or notes you make.
Now here is a real money saver. You can split the cost of a session with up to 3 additional people at NO ADDITIONAL COST. That's right. Not one dollar more.
